History of Kishkinta Amusement Park Chennai
Spread over an area of 120 acres of land, the amazing theme park was built by the celebrated film producer and director, Mr. M C Punnose alias Navodaya Appachan. It has been named after the famous vanara kingdom Kishkinta from the Ramayana epic.
This multimillion dollar project jointly launched by the Navodaya Films Pvt. Ltd., Berjaya Leisure as well as the Malaysia and Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation, was inaugurated in August 1995. Six artificial lakes have been created which saves water through rain water harvesting to compensate the need for water. Around ten thousand saplings planted in 1995 make it a green space today.

Water War
Soak up great fun with a range of attractions that includes various fountains and water games. Guests can go whirling round on the Whirlpad. Exciting squirt see-saw monkey, see-saw fish and see-saw duck draws the attention of the kids.
Get wet enjoying a range of fountains that includes floor fountain, flower fountain, grid fountain and pillar fountain. The park is open from 10:00 AM in the morning till 6:30 PM in the evening. On Sundays and Public holidays, the theme park is open till 7:00 in the evening. The Park is closed on Wednesdays.
